How to Turn a Youtube Video into Highly Engaging Short

Creating short-form videos from long YouTube content is a great way to boost engagement and reach a wider audience. In this tutorial I’ll show you how to easily create engaging short-form content from your Long form Youtube videos using revid.ai

First, go to Revid.ai to begin. This is where you’ll work your magic, turning long content into short-form, shareable clips.

Once you’re on the homepage, click the “Create Videos Now” button to access Revid AI’s dashboard

Now, click on the “Create a New Video” button to start your project as shown in the below image.

You’ll see several options for creating different types of videos. Since we’re focusing on converting long-form YouTube videos into short clips, select the “YouTube Clip Maker” option.

In the next step, you’ll need to paste the URL of your long YouTube video into the provided field. This is the video Revid AI will use to create your short-form content.

Once you’ve entered the URL, click “Generate Video.” Revid AI will take a few moments to process your video and extract key clips from it.

Once Revid AI finishes processing, your video will appear in your dashboard, ready for editing. The platform automatically transcribes the entire video and picks a portion for you to start editing.

After you click on the project, you will have Revid.ai automatically transcribe the entire video and it also automatically pick a portion of your video ready to be edited.

You also have the option to manually pick which portion of the videos you want to edit.

Customize the Captions

One of the easiest ways to make your video more engaging is by customizing the captions. Click on the captions in the preview window and adjust the font, color, size, and text effects to match your video style.

Once you click the captions on the preview window, you will have the following options.

You can change the caption color, text effects, Font , Size and a lot more.

Also Make sure to click “ Apply to all” to make your changes reflect on the entire video.

Add Animated Effects to Your Captions

To make your captions stand out even more, you can add animated effects. Click on a word or phrase you want to animate, then choose from Revid AI’s animation presets to bring your text to life.

Now you will have animation presets you can choose for the word you have selected. Pick the best one that best fits your needs.

Once you choose the animation preset you like, click it and you can also import a background preset as well to complement your animation preset.

Choose a Background Preset

Enhance your video further by selecting a background preset to match your animation. This helps create a visually cohesive and dynamic video. Choose a background that fits your style or the theme of your clip.

Select the background preset you like. For this tutorial, I have picked the following background preset.

Layering Elements for a Professional Look

Make sure all your elements (captions, animations, background) are properly layered. Adjust the layers so that everything appears in the right order, giving your video a polished and professional look.

Make sure to switch the layers so the background layer and the icons and animation presets you selected are properly placed.

Once you switched the layers, it should look like this.

Now do this exact process for more words. I’m going to use an animated preset for the word “ Facebook” Select the clip and the word you want to animate and click “ Animation”

Now you can pick the best animation from the animated presets library.

We can also make a custom search on the animation presets library. For this example, I tried the word “ social media”.

Once you start using a lot of animation presets from the library to spice up your video, it becomes a lot more engaging.

Add "In" and "Out" Animations

To make your video even more engaging, add “In” and “Out” animations to your text and icons. This helps the elements flow seamlessly and adds a professional touch.

Add the animations by simply clicking on the icons and this will direct you to the editing animation space where you can customize the animation presets even more if you want.

In the edit animation space, scroll down and find the animations tab and choose the ones you need.

Once you completed this process and customize everything you wanted, just click the export button and your engaging viral short form video content will be ready.
